Rooted cutting, source cutting from AZRFG, June 2016
This was a cutting given to me by an AZRFG member, and the fruit was described as being like a 'Raspberry Dragon Fruit'. Dragon Fruit is member of the Hylocereus family, but this Acanthocereus does display some vining characteristics. It does not seem to make air roots the way dragon fruit does and it does have much more severe thorns. However it does take the AZ summers and winters much better than Dragon Fruit. I would love to get some fruit to compare it against Dragon Fruit.
