Main Tree: Glenn, tree from La Verne Nursery (Tropica Mango), Mar 2015
- Graft 1: Mahachanok (labeled as Maha Chinook), scion wood from Oscar (Fruit Lovers Nursery), May 2016
- Graft 2: Jakarta, scion wood from dongeorgio / George S. (Tropical Fruit Forum), July 2016
- Graft 3: Venus, scion wood from dongeorgio / George S. (Tropical Fruit Forum), July 2016
I have been fairly rough with this tree. I had it potted in a large pot around my pool fence. But the Glenn tree is really an ugly tree (very floppy / haphazard growth habit) and it never seemed to be happy in the full sun location it was in. So I ripped it out (top pruned it and root pruned it) and put it into a 15 gallon pot with some more protection. I also grafted on some different varieties. Jakarta and Venus are growing so-so (Jakarta should be very vigorous). But the Mahachanok (labeled as Maha Chinook) graft is doing great. Basically it is now the top half of the tree, and very upright.
Don't really have a good picture of the tree below because it is sandwiched against a bunch of other trees.
