Peanut Butter Fruit

Peanut Butter Fruit (Bunchosia armeniaca)

(B. sp.) Seedlings, source seeds from Trade Winds Fruit, Oct 2016
(B. armeniaca) Source tree from Logee's, Mar 2017

There has been a lot of confusion as to what the 'real' Peanut Butter fruit is (B. armenianca vs. B. argentea). See this thread on the Tropical Fruit Forum http://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=3707.0. In fact, Trade Winds Fruit sells their seeds as Bunchosia sp. because they don't know which species has the correct classification.

Regardless, I picked up some seeds from Trade Winds Fruit in 2016, and a B. armenianca plant from Logee's in 2017. The plant grows like crazy. The plant from Logee's went from about 6 inches to 4 feet with branching in one year. It is making flower buds now.
