DIED WINTER 2018/2019: Not a surprising result, but it wasn't for lack of trying to keep it alive. It grew spectacularly all summer long even through the brutal 2018 July. By Nov I made sure it wasn't irrigated and covered it with frost cloth and had 2x 5-gallon buckets of water with aquarium heaters in them. Even that level of protection was not enough to keep it alive through the winter. This was the most tropical plant I have ever attempted, and it was not even remotely successful zone pushing. It really would need a heated greenhouse.
