DIED SUMMER 2018: Summer 2018 was especially brutal. Even with heavy shade it could not stay alive. There was no leaf burn from the sun, it just kept dying back and eventually went kaput.

Hawaiian avocado. It is small (2-3 ft) and slow growing. I have it in heavy shade in my nursery so that it acclimates slowly to our climate.
