DIED SUMMER 2018: Summer 2018 was especially brutal. Growth kept getting fried back in June and by late July it was dead. This was a heartbreaker for me, this was my oldest mango tree and grafting testbed. But 2018 was just too much for it.
--------------------------------------------
This tree is my first mango grafting testbed. There are a bunch of scars from failed grafts, but I have successfully done cleft and veneer grafting onto this tree. For the grafts listed above, all have flowered for me, and last year (2017) I got fruit off my Mahachanok graft. The Manila rootstock is flowering for the first time this year (2018) and all the grafts have flowered and as of Apr 2018 are all holding fruit. So I might get 4 different kinds of mangos off this tree this year!
