Coconut Cream Mango
Source tree from Shamus O'Learys Tropical Fruit Trees, Oct 2016

DIED SUMMER 2019: Extreme damage from winter, never properly recovered and was dead by summer.

Bought as a 15 gallon, and has been in the ground for >1 year now. It definitely displays the classic 'floppy' growth habit. It bloomed like crazy in 2017 and I got 5 mangos off it. They were not great because I did not pick them correctly. Coconut cream is definitely a mango that needs to be picked mature green and allowed to ripen on the counter. I picked it full color off the tree (in fact, I even had a drop because I was out of town when one ripened) and while it does have a coconut flavor, the rest of the mango tasted like apricot baby food. I have had Coconut Cream mangos from FL and they are exceptional. I am looking forward to better mangos from this tree in 2018.
