DIED SUMMER 2018: Summer 2018 was especially brutal. Even with heavy shade it could not stay alive. There was no leaf burn from the sun, it just kept dying back and eventually went kaput.

Tiny plant (most likely tissue culture) when I got it. But while it hasn't been a strong grower, it has been a solid one. I have tried planting black pepper vines right next to this plant (shade, compost, water, mulch) and the pepper vines died. But this one is doing well.
